Ex-Minister's first ever common good project is
seeking your support!
|
Call
me presumptuous, but I don’t
feel like waiting around! Been
thinking long enough and want to
cast Ex-Minister’s first
project out to the winds to see
if it would garner support! Latvia
is in DEEP trouble!!! If you
could only see the despair of a
people whose government is
probably headed for national
bankruptcy. Things are VERY bad
here, not sure what will happen.
I’d rather not get too deep
into speculation, but there is
little to be optimistic about!
Frankly, myself and evangelical
leaders are concerned about the
dire ramifications of the
economic collapse; basic
needs like food, clothing and
warm shelter are desperately
needed! THE PROPOSAL, we're looking for funding support Ex-Minister
would like for it’s first
project to be based here in
Latvia as a humanitarian
operation starting ASAP that
last through the bitter cold
weather to help people get
through until the springtime of
2010. I’m asking for
humanitarian support to fund a
soup kitchen to feed people!
I’m talking a lot of people! The
first location would be in Ogre,
Latvia. We own a large home
(living here until the bank
repossesses it) in the city
square within easy access of the
train station. The first story
is commercial property. The
local mafia prevented us from
EARNING a living (it’s a long
story.) One of the businesses we
had planned to open was a café.
We could feed many people from
our prime location. What we
couldn’t open as a legitimate
business due to corruption could
do wonders as a soup kitchen!
The mafia/local government
can’t prevent us from GIVING
AWAY such a basic need in
desperate times like these! Secular
and people of faith working
together!!! Here
is where it gets interesting
beyond the humanitarian
satisfaction of meeting a need.
I plan to recruit
church/religious people to do
the work alongside of us. Some
work has already been done
towards this end, we are
looking for an individual,
company, corporation, etc. to
fund this ASAP. Personally,
we want to leave Latvia…but
will stay awhile longer until
the spring for this project! If
someone steps forward, we will
do it! Let’s make history, I
would like to share that history
with THE SPONSOR!!! A
learning process and
experimentation of the concept I
want to learn and eventually
perfect the process of getting
secular and religious
people/organizations working
together for the common good! I
would also like to learn to
work/cooperate with agencies
like the Red Cross and/or
governmental operatives. The
need is here, this would be a
great place to learn before
bringing this to the US, UK or
Canada. I
wouldn’t name names, but the
faith community is interested in
the project! The timing is right
and we want to get things
started as quick as we get the
funding. Ex-Minister isn’t an
organization at this point, I
need to return to the US to get
things started (but this
wouldn’t prevent us from
acting here.) This project would
NOT be a tax deduction for
someone, but I hope it is a
compelling idea to someone that
would want to make history with! Here
is one suggestion: it would
especially be nice if a Russian
source were behind this! Why?
There are strong anti-Russian
feelings from the Latvians
towards the Russians due to the
history here. What a gesture of
good-will it would be if a
Russian backed source stepped up
to meet a need in such times as
these. Its certainly difficult
to be angry when those you might
hate are actually feeding you!!!
It is a win-win
situation! The
needs here go beyond food. There
are medical, educational/school
needs that a corporation might
want to participate in as well.
I will give full accounting of
the project.
Ex-Minister wants to quit
merely talking about the theory
of the common good to actually
seeing it performed! So there it is! I hope that this was not a waste of time; there is such a wonderful opportunity to do something special here. Potential partners should contact me by email brian@exminister.org . I need to know that whoever emails me is legitimate and just not another sick prank. So I would appreciate that email being verifiable, we could proceed afterwards and discuss the details. With
great expectations of hope, Brian Worley of Ex-Minister
