Anti-Semitism: Why does Christianity get a free pass?

Christianity
has been around for roughly 1700
years now; hatred has been
around much longer!
The Eagles, in their song
“Hole in the World” has a
line with the following words,
“But all this fighting over
who’s the anointed, Oh how can
people be so blind” is a deep
thought to consider.
You don’t have to be a
historian to understand that
there has been much fighting
over this very question of,”
Who is the anointed?” and the
subsequent allegiance to their
leadership. Religion has always
been a bloody mess especially
Islam and Christianity. With
these two religions vying for
supremacy, world peace will
always be just a fantasy. There
seems to be a question about
what constitutes anti-Semitism.
“Thin skinned” people might
say that a joke about a Jewish
person being tight with money is
anti-Semitic. Things like these
are just ethnic jokes that can
sometimes border on bad taste.
Saving money is an admirable
trait anyway. I will give you a
very personal example of
anti-Semitism. My wife isn't
Jewish, but her uncle was. He
was forcefully taken away to
Siberia and was never heard from
again. Siberia is the suspected
destination after he was
abducted (this is where it is
believed he was sent to…we
don’t know for sure). People
were taken there to labor until
they died and/or were killed. It
is horrible that some people
feel that they are superior and
that the "inferior"
group of people has no right to
exist; or to a lesser extent
they feel that the inferior
group deserves to have a lesser
quality of life. When someone
places a cross symbol, made of
sticks in your yard, it gets
your attention. Sometimes,
those crosses are inverted, or
upside down. I am not sure if
this is from a Jesus freak, a
Satanist, or someone who
dislikes Americans, Jews,
or me for being an ex-minister.
One thing that I do know that
being silent about these things
only encourages these sick
people!
My local police chief is
indifferent and insensitive to
hate crime problems that I have
here. Getting justice in Latvia
is difficult. Forgive me while I rant, this is not only important to me, it is personal. When you speak of a holocaust, I can understand people silently wondering if such horrible events could really have had occurred. It is difficult to believe that some people could be so twisted and cruel to commit such a crime. Such is the world in which we live and yes, they do happen. My
disturbing discovery inside of
the Bible's pages Bible
prophecy was fascinating to me
when I was a Christian! I credit
the desire to understand
Eschatology (study of future
events) as a prime motivator to
keep my nose in the book. In the
mid 1990's, I had
read Philip Mauro’s
“Dispensationalism Justifies
the Crucifixion” . It affirmed
to me that dispensational
teaching indeed did contain
anti-Semitic views. At the
time, I just viewed it as a
difference of opinion between
theologians.
Eventually, this
discovery produced enough
doubt in my mind about the Bible
to influence my departure
from Christianity. In
short here is what I view as
anti-Semitic 1. The thought that Jews were the killers of Christ. It is doubtful from historic evidence to prove that a Jesus even existed at all. If Jesus never lived then how could someone kill him? The blame is placed at the feet of Jewish people. This isn't debatable, read for yourself the scriptural proof! I
Thessalonians 1: 14-15
"for ye also have suffered
like things of your own
countrymen, even as they have of
the Jews: Who both killed the
Lord Jesus, and their own
prophets, and have persecuted
us; and they please not God, and
are contrary to all men:
2.
The tribulation viewpoint
that God will bring strong
judgment and punish the Jews
during the tribulation period. 3. The Jews being God’s chosen people. But Jewish rebellion always drew God's wrath. Being chosen sounds nice initially, but when you portray the Jews like the Bible does it is a major insult and slanderous! T The Bible isn't such a nice book after all!. The Bible is the SOURCE of Christianity and contains the basis for anti-Semitic viewpoints and other repulsive ideas. I suppose, if the Bible wasn't such a hideous book and was taken seriously then charges of anti-Semitism would have already have been served against it. I do I don’t understand why the Bible gets a free anti-Semitic pass and that Christianity isn't called out for being anti-Semitic? I would love to hear a reasonable explanation to my question.
