The Bible DOES Have Errors!

(Why the bible believer must make a choice to: 1) Be an honest person 2) Live a lie!)

People of intellect (of which all people have a certain degree) should also have a degree of intellectual HONESTY. I have outlined only 5 examples of why honest people cannot hold to biblical inerrancy. The Bible does have errors, those who state its inerrancy are either ignorant or dishonest. Then they have the nerve to demand that we should live by the dictates of this book because it is from God, and then try to make you feel guilty if you don’t. If the bible has errors then God didn’t write it, man did and their errors are an open record to those who read! People of good character are seekers of truth…and once they find truth they don’t propagate lies!

Only the King James Bible is used in references!

1. Who was the father of Joseph (Mary’s husband) was it Jacob or was it Heli?? And Jacob begat Joseph, the husband of Mary, of whom was born Jesus. (Matt. 1:16) Being the son of Joseph which was the son of Heli (Luke 3:23) Note: According to the Bible Joseph had 2 fathers (Jacob & Heli) this is biologically impossible!

2. How many children did Michal (Saul’s daughter) have? 5 or none….can’t be both! Michal the daughter of Saul, had no child unto the day of her death. (2 Sam. 6:23) The five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul (2 Sam. 21:8)

3. The God of the Bible is supposed to be omnipotent...isn’t he? Judges 1:19 And the Lord was with Judah; and he drave out the inhabitants of the mountain; but could not drive out the inhabitants of the valley, because they had chariots of iron.

Omnipotence means all powerful. God cannot be all powerful if he cannot handle those with chariots of iron. Imagine what he would do today with high tech weaponry? This is the verse that did more to convince and thus to deconvert the exminister than any other.

4. Isn’t the historical date of a person’s birth & death constant? or does Easter get a special exception? For example Thomas Jefferson died on July 4, 1826. Isn’t it ironic that he died 50 years to the date of the adoption of Declaration of Independence? The date of death is FIXED.

Easter’s date is determined by astrology not a historical date! Not only do we get differing months and days for Easter, theologians, historians, and the Bible itself cannot even get an agreement on the year of birth or resurrection of Christ. Then why don’t Christians celebrate the resurrection on say the first Sunday in April? They chose a fixed date for Christ’s birth (Dec. 25)? The dates of Easter in years past:

1992 April 19

1993 April 11

1994 April 3

1995 April 16

1996 April 7

1997 March 30

1998 April 12

1999 April 4

2000 April 23

2001 April 15

The well respected Thomas Paine had this to say about Christianity. “The Christian religion is a parody on the worship of the Sun, in which they put a man whom they call Christ, in the place of the Sun, and pay him the same adoration which was originally paid to the Sun”. If you seek more information about this, read the chapter named Astro-Theology by Jordan Maxwell contained within the book The Book Your Church Doesn’t Want You To Read, edited by Tim Leedom.

5. Did Christ ascend from Mt. Olivet (Acts 1:9,12) or Bethany (Lk. 24: 50-51)?

I could list many other bible errors, listing just one proves that the bible cannot be claimed to be inerrant. These 5 errors were enough to convince me. I found many other errors once I finally conceded the point that the bible actually does have errors. My eyes were "opened" then. Go to the Helpful Websites/Helpful Books link and you can find so many others who have gone into greater detail. To me the point is for the fundamentalist who believes that his bible is inerrant to plainly see that it does indeed have errors. It took this exminister time to digest what I found because I had so much more to lose than the typical believer. If you still say that the bible is inerrant after examining these then you are a deluded individual. If you ignore this message then you have no integrity, remind yourself of this point when you try to spread the “good news” to enslave others with the Christian myth. Do you feel that Christianity is the truth? It isn’t and never was. It is a huge myth. How could God be perfect if his book when closely examined is showed to unintelligible? If you see that you have been mislead then your next move is to decide what you will do about it? I ask you, “Do you believe to be respected in the eyes of others or for social or financial benefits? Then you will probably remain in your Christianity lie. If you have a heart for whatever is true , whatsoever things are honest (Phil 4:8) then you need to leave the trap that you are stuck in. It isn’t that difficult of a decision to make. Understand that Christianity has hooked you with an intellectual lie, and a sociological support system. You free yourself of the lie and you still have to deal with the sociological issues of friends and the church. Be aware of this and don’t expect others to understand your moves. They are probably are “still drinking the kool-aid” and are by scripture commanded to basically avoid you or try to “save you”. It would be great if you could keep your Christian friends, but you understand their dogmatic viewpoint. It is what it is! If a person isn’t open minded or have the intellectual capacity to distinguish errors forget about reaching them. When I left Christianity, for the lack of a better term “I felt born-again” about getting my life back again. It is a wonderful feeling that begs to be experienced.
